Two men accused of racist, homophobic threats arrested outside Seattle gay bar
SEATTLE -- The epidemic of threatening homophobic behavior continues on Seattle’s Capitol Hill with two new arrests.
Police report two men were arrested Friday night outside gay bar R Place Nightclub after being accused of berating a patron standing outside with ‘racial and homophobic epithets.’
Witnesses tell police the two intoxicated men asked the patron for a cigarette and when he wouldn’t give them one they started shouting and threatening to attack him.
Police said they arrested a 33-year-old and a 44-year-old and booked them into jail.
The patron may have been saved from an actual attack thanks to witnesses who stepped in and then called 911.
