Rider, spectator injured in Portland motocross event

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Portland Fire and Rescue spokesman says a motocross rider and a spectator have been injured at Portland International Raceway.

KATU-TV reports the motorcyclist lost control Thursday night, left the track and he crashed into a pole. His bike hit a fence and then the female pedestrian.

The rider was reported in critical condition at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.

The spectator was reported in stable condition at another Portland hospital.
