2 men rob Monroe woman at knifepoint, force her to drive them to Lake Stevens

MONROE, Wash. -- Two men on Monday forced a 41-year-old Monroe woman at  knifepoint to drive from her home to Lake Stevens as they stole cash and credit cards from her purse, police said. They then fled.

The woman was not injured, police said. She tells Q13 FOX, one of the men held the knife at her ribs.

"She said she was just scared; she didn’t even think where she was going, and she was just too scared," said Jessica Villegas, the victim's daughter.

The victim said the incident began when she came home Monday at about noon and discovered two men in her garage. As she got out of her pickup truck, the men confronted her with a knife and ordered her to drive them to Lake Stevens, police said.

One of the men said she wouldn't be hurt as long as she drove normally and carefully, she told police. The men went through her purse and stole money and credit cards, then directed her to drop them off in the parking lot of Target store in Lake Stevens, where they got out and ran.

Police said she contacted her family and was told to go to a safe family residence in Everett before notifying the police.

Both of the suspects were described as white. One was about  6-foot-3, thin build, dark short hair, beard and mustache and was wearing a brown sweatshirt with hoodie and blue jeans.

The second suspect was described only as being shorter than the other suspect, with a heavier build. He was wearing brown “Dickie” pants and a gray sweatshirt with unknown logo.

A possible vehicle of interest in Lake Stevens was described as a late-model red Dodge Neon.
