2 Seattle-area residents arrested after Idaho traffic stop nets 22 pounds of pot

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A north Idaho sheriff's office says a traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Coeur d'Alene led to the discovery of more than 22 pounds of marijuana, several grams of heroin and the arrest of two Washington state residents.

KHQ-TV of Spokane, Washington, reports (http://is.gd/uQn9MJ ) that Kootenai County deputies stopped a car early Friday after a call about a possibly intoxicated driver.

The sheriff's office says a deputy smelled marijuana upon approaching the female driver and male passenger. That led to the pot find.

The sheriff's office says 39-year-old Domonique Adams-Swanson of Seattle was arrested for investigation of driving on a suspended license as well as trafficking in marijuana and heroin and possession of a controlled substance.

Also arrested was 63-year-old Sylvester Byrd of Tukwila, Washington. He was arrested for investigation of trafficking in marijuana and heroin.
