Bomb threat at construction site prompts school evacuation in Mason County

SHELTON — A bomb threat at a construction site in Mason County prompted officials to evacuate two nearby schools, the Mason County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

The sheriff’s office tweeted about the bomb scare at 12:13 p.m.

North Mason School District school buses were slated to take kids home at around 12:30 p.m., officials said.

Dogs and the bomb squad cleared the area by 3 p.m. saying they did not find any explosives.
