Man takes dying dog on bucket list trip across the country

NEW YORK -- Poh is a good boy -- and thankfully, he has an awesome owner, too.

Poh, suffering from several tumors and kidney failure, was given only a few weeks to live. Neil Rodriguez, his owner, opted to give him an amazing send-off. The 16-year-old dog recently finished a 7-week cross-country tour visiting dozens of bucket list landmarks.

Rodriguez was scheduled to be in Arizona for a gig in March, so he decided to take Poh and his fiancée with him, according to the New York Daily News.

Rodriguez chronicled their 12,000-mile trip on Instagram. Poh visited Bourbon Street in New Orleans, the Alamo in San Antonio, walking on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and visiting Washington, D.C.

Now that Poh is back home in New York, Rodriguez told the New York Daily News he is considering taking him on a similar road trip to Miami.
