Volunteer injured while helping rescue 3 hikers in Snohomish County

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. -- Three hikers were rescued early Monday at Mt. Dickerman in Snohomish County.

The Snohomish County sheriff's office says Everett Mountain Rescue brought down two stranded men and a woman with an injured ankle was carried out from the Perry Creek Trail.

A male search and rescue volunteer was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center after experiencing a medical event during a rescue operation. The sheriff's office says he is in critical condition.
