Police: Toddler was in car when man walked up, shot driver



DES MOINES, Wash. -- A man was shot in a parked car Wednesday afternoon outside of a convenience store in Des Moines, according to police.

Investigators say four people, including a littler girl, were inside the car at the time of the shooting. They say the driver of a dark SUV walked over to the driver of a white Lincoln and started a conversation.

About five minutes later, police say the man standing outside of the car pulled out a gun and shot the driver of the white car.

Police say nobody else in the car was injured.



Officials say the victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect reamins on the loose. A description was not released, but detectives said they were looking at surveillance video taken in the area.
