Crews rescue blind dog that fell 300 feet down bluffs

PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — Crews have rescued a partially blind dog that fell about 300 feet down a bluff near Port Angeles.

The Clallam County Sheriff's Office says its search and rescue team responded Sunday night after a dog fell through brush in its backyard, which sits at the edge of bluffs.

Sgt. Randy Pieper says a rescuer was lowered on a rope about 300 feet down the bluff and crews helped pull the dog up. The dog was shaken but safe.
