SEATTLE - A car and motorcycle collided on SR 99 at Royal Brougham Way early Friday, shutting down all northbound lanes, Seattle police said.

Police determined that the car was going southbound on SR 99, in the wrong direction, when it collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling northbound, police told Q13FOX News.

The collision happened around 1:40 a.m. The 55-year-old motorcyclist was thrown off his bike and transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
