Fire in stack at Port of Tacoma; crews work to cool burning oil (PHOTOS)



TACOMA --A fire in a stack at the Port of Tacoma broke out Wednesday morning, fire crews said.

Tacoma Fire crews tweeted they were headed to a blaze around 7:50 a.m. at the US Oil & Refinery in the Port of Tacoma in the 3000 block of North Marshall Street.



No injuries or evacuations were reported. Fire crews worked to cool the stacks shortly after arriving.







U.S. Oil operates a refinery in Washington state and supplies petroleum products to the area.The refinery reportedly produces 39,000 barrels of crude oil a day.
