Report: Driver of stolen school bus slams into Blaine police car, jumps into water to escape (PHOTOS)



STANWOOD, Wash. -- Police located a stolen school bus in Blaine, and the suspected driver reportedly hit a police car before jumping into the water to try to swim away.

According to Snohomish County sheriff's deputies, the bus was taken around 1:45 p.m. from the Stanwood-Camano Island School District bus barn at 27210 90th Avenue NW.

KGMI radio reports the stolen school bus was spotted around 4:00 p.m. on Marine Drive in Blaine.



The station reported the suspected driver slammed into a Blaine police car that was stopped on Marine Drive.

The suspect was in the bay for about 20 minutes before authorities were able to get her out of the water and into an ambulance, KGMI reported.
