Police: 19-year-old taken to hospital after South Seattle shooting

SEATTLE -- A 19-year-old man was transported to Harborview Medical Center after being shot Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way and South Othello Street, Seattle police said.

Police tweeted about the shooting around 2 p.m.

The 19-year-old was taken to the hospital in stable condition, Seattle Fire said.

Police and detectives are investigating. It was not immediately known if any suspects in the shooting were under arrest.
