Reward issued for info leading to arrest of SUV driver who nearly slammed into kids

GRAHAM, Washington — Authorities have issued a reward leading to the arrest of a driver who nearly slammed into three children as they stepped onto a school bus.

Law enforcement released this chilling video showing an SUV nearly slamming into children getting on a school bus in the hope of identifying the driver.

The incident, that was almost a terrible tragedy, was captured on the Bethel School District bus surveillance camera. It occured at 8:07 a.m. April 24 near the intersection of 224th Street and 124th Avenue in Graham.

You can see the bus pull up to the stop and open the doors to allow the students to board.

Then as the children start to run towards the bus, a white SUV whizzes between the kids and the bus, leaving both sides in shock.

Authorities have not identified the SUV driver at this time. Any information leading to the arrest of the driver could result in a $1,000 reward, Pierce County Sheriff's Office Det. Ed Troyer said.
