RENTON, Wash. (AP) — The Federal Aviation Adminstration’s regional headquarters operation is moving from one south Seattle suburb to another.

The Seattle Times reports that about 1,400 employees currently work at a number of leased office locations around the FAA’s Northwest Mountain Region headquarters in Renton.

The General Services Administration said Wednesday that a leased Des Moines building will provide workspace for about 1,600 people when it is completed in 2017.

The Des Moines Creek Business Park is south of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
