UPDATE: Body of woman recovered from retention pond identified, ruled a suicide

SNOHOMISH, Wash. -- The body of a woman found in a small retention pond near the Snohomish River last week has been identified and ruled a suicide, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.

The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office dive team recovered the body April 22 from a small retention pond in the 4500 block of Lowell Snohomish River Road, deputies said.

The woman was identified as 66-year-old Bouaphan Na, the sheriff's office said. Her car was parked nearby; it was left unlocked with the keys and her identification inside, the sheriff's office said.
