3-alarm fire heavily damages Bellevue car dealership

BELLEVUE, Wash. – A 3-alarm fire has destroyed the main building of a car dealership in Bellevue, and crews will be at the scene throughout Saturday.

The first call to the fire at Prestige Ford, located at NE 4th Street and 116th Avenue NE, was made just after 3 a.m. Flames had already spread throughout the building by time firefighters arrived, and they immediately went into a defensive mode. Soon after, two more alarms were called in to help fight the fire.

The stretch of 116th Avenue NE has been closed between NE 6th Street and Main Street since the fire began, and is likely to stay closed for most of Saturday.

The instability of the building has investigators waiting to get in to try and find a cause. Crews will also be working on hot spots in the remaining of the dealership building throughout Saturday.

No injuries were reported.
