Speeding car, loses control, hits two SPD cruisers

SEATTLE - Two Seattle Police cars were struck by an out of control civilian car just before 3 a.m. Friday morning.

An officer with Seattle PD said that two cars were speeding southbound on 23rd Avenue South when one of the cars lost control and hit the SPD patrols cars near South Norman St.

The officer said that the two cars may have been racing at the time. The other speeding car did not stop, and keep going

Neither of the patrol cars were occupied at the time, the SPD officer said.

One person is in custody, the officer said.
