It's official: Seahawks re-sign wide receiver Ricardo Lockette

SEATTLE -- Sure, he tweeted about it last month. But now it's OFFICIALLY official.

Wide Receiver Ricardo Lockette, who was an exclusive rights free agent going into the offseason, has re-signed with the Seahawks for the 2015 NFL season.

The 28-year-old wide receiver has been in the league for five years, four of those with the Seahawks. Lockette, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Hawks, has wracked up 18 catches for 382 yards and three touchdowns in 26 regular season games with the team.

In Super Bowl XLIX, Lockette made three catches for 59 yards. He was also the target of Russell Wilson's failed goal-line pass that was intercepted by Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler.

Of course, the news of the signing isn't surprising as Lockette tweeted about it back in March.

Still nice to know it's official.
