Lauren Hill dies after inspiring nation during her 'Layup For Lauren' battle against cancer

CINCINNATI -- Lauren Hill, the 19-year-old who inspired countless people across the country as she battled a rare form of cancer, died early Friday.

Hill's diagnosis came during her senior year of high school in 2013. She had already signed up to play basketball at Mount St. Joseph. Undeterred, she played in high school despite rounds of chemotherapy for her inoperable tumor and went on to Mount St. Joseph University.
