Inquest ordered in fatal shooting of man by Kent police

SEATTLE (AP) — King County Executive Dow Constantine has ordered an inquest into last July's fatal shooting of a man who died in a shootout with Kent police officers.

The Seattle Times says 28-year-old Richard Duncalf was shot following a manhunt that began after he attacked an officer at a motel. Kent police say he opened fired on officers.

The King County Prosecutor's office recommended the fact-finding hearing after reviewing information from the Auburn Police Department, which investigated the July 20 shooting.
