Police arrest thieves after finding thousands in stolen guitars, drums (PHOTOS)



SEATTLE -- Police arrested a 34-year-old woman and a 18-year-old man recently in connection with more than $100,000 in stolen goods found at a Ballard home.

According to the Seattle Police Department, officers began investigating a crew of thieves after a break-in at a storage facility in the Denny Triangle late last month. The thieves broke into several storage lockers,police said, stealing electronics,TVs, beds, tables and other goods worth as much as $100,000.

Detectives found some of the stolen items posted online, and tracked the seller to a house in the 6700 block of 8th Avenue NW in Ballard. At the home, police allegedly found "piles" of stolen computers, tools, bikes, prescriptions, guitars and drums. Two stolen Subarus were parked near the home, allegedly packed with guitars and TVs. All in all, police said they found 10 guitars, pedals, amps and two drum sets during the search.

Detectives have already identified the owners of the stolen items and are working to return their property.

Several other suspects are still on the loose, police said.
