'Bold and brazen' robbers set up fake road blocks, then attack drivers

CHICAGO -- A group of robbers has been setting up fake road blocks to trap drivers and steal from them, according to Chicago police.

WGN reports this has happened twice within the last week on Chicago's south side.

Police say the suspects place a construction barrel in part of the street that is supposed to be open. Then when the driver stops to move the barrel, three to four suspects run up to the vehicle and rob the occupants.

Authorities have only received vague descriptions of the suspects.
