Manhunt for man suspected of killing his 42-year-old nephew in SeaTac
SEATAC, Wash. -- A 42-year-old man working at a box and crate store in SeaTac was fatally shot Thursday, and authorities quickly released the name and photo of a suspect and the vehicle he is believed to be driving.
The King County Sheriff's Office said the suspect is the victim's uncle.
Sheriff's spokesman BJ Myers said deputies found a 42-year-old man who had been shot in the face at a box and crate store in the 18900 block of 16th Avenue South in SeaTac at about 5:15 p.m. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was not immediately identified.
Myers said detectives believe their suspect in the case is the 68-year-old uncle of the victim; he identified the suspect as Robert Leroy Studer.
Studer is believed to be driving a 2015 Chevy white box van with Arizona license plates that spell out NFL HAWKS.
No motive was immediately known for the shooting, Myers said.
The victim apparently was working at the store when the shooting took place. No one else was injured, Myers said.
He added that sheriff's deputies were called to the scene by a third party who "was concerned" about the victim.
Myers said Studer is believed to be armed and dangerous and those seeing him or knowing his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
