Gunmen shoot at man in car with toddler; Central District residents fed up with violence

SEATTLE -- Seattle police said two gunmen crashed their car into a second vehicle Wednesday and then opened fire on a man in the other car who had his 2-year-old daughter with him. Neither was hit, and the gunmen fled.

The incident occurred at 26th and Washington Street in Seattle's Central District.

Police said detectives believe the gunmen and the victims know each other and that this was not a random act or the result of road rage.

When the gunmen fled, they left an assault rifle and pistol inside the car they were using.

Gang Unit detectives were searching for the suspects.
