Moderate quake shakes buildings in Mexico City

MEXICO CITY (AP) — A moderate earthquake has shaken Mexico City and set off the country's earthquake alarm system. There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The magnitude or epicenter was not immediately known.

Earthquakes from hundreds of miles away often shake the capital area of 20 million people because it sits on a drained lake bed.
