Eastern Washington coach guarantees win over Georgetown in NCAA Tournament

Eastern Washington University basketball coach Jim Hayford guaranteed his  13th-seeded Eagles would defeat 4th-seed Georgetown in the first round of the South Region of the NCAA Tournament Thursday night.

In an interview Wednesday on CBS Sports Radio’s “Jim Rome Show,” Hayford, confidently said, “We’re gonna win and talk again, Jim.”

According to CBS Sports Radio, Hayford said to Rome earlier in the interview: "We're not just happy to be here. We want to go do something special. My team in November won at Indiana and snapped the nation's longest non-conference home winning streak at Assembly Hall. We're capable. If you're still in a pool you can fill it in, you want to put the Eagles in. We play fast. We're the third-leading scoring team in the country. We have the country's leading scorer in Tyler Harvey."

So will you pick the Eagles on your office bracket?
