Police warn of another child luring attempt in Lewis County

CHEHALIS, Wash. -- School officials are warning parents about a child luring attempt on school grounds in Chehalis.

According to police, a 10-year-old girl was riding her bike Friday night at Cascade Elementary when a man approached her and asked her to leave with him. The girl refused and rode her bike home.

Principal Bob Hunt sent a letter home to parents Monday advising them about the incident.

A Q13 FOX viewer shared that letter with us on Facebook:

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s, 5-foot-8, very skinny, with severe acne.

If you know who the suspect could be or have any information about the case, call police.

This is the third child luring attempt reported in one week in Lewis County. Authorities warned of a man trying to lure a child into his pickup truck in Pe Ell on two different occasions.
