Two-vehicle crash in Redmond kills one
REDMOND, Wash. – A man was killed early Saturday in a two-vehicle crash near a major intersection in Redmond.
A second man ran from the scene, and was eventually caught.
Redmond Police Commander Shari Francois said that officers were called to the intersection of Avondale Way and Union Hill Road around 1:15 a.m. When they arrived, they saw a man running from the crash. A K-9 unit was called in, and the man was eventually caught.
The driver of the second vehicle was found unresponsive. After an attempt to revive him, medics declared him dead.
The other driver was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Francois said. He was treated for minor injuries.
Speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, according to Francois. No names have been released.
