56-year-old woman from Grapeview dies as car plunges into Puget Sound

ALLYN, Wash. -- A woman identified as Denise Matz-Warter, 56, of Grapeview, died after she was pulled from a car that had plunged into the Puget Sound Friday, the Mason County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office tweeted about the incident around 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Matz-Warter was reported dead a short time later.
