Teen to be sentenced in crash that killed 3

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. (AP) — The 17-year-old driver in a Kitsap County crash that killed three high school classmates is to be sentenced Thursday in juvenile court.

The teen pleaded guilty last month to three counts of vehicular homicide.

The car carrying the Olympic High School students left a road in Seabeck, Washington, hit a tree, rolled and landed upside down in a ditch on Jan. 11.

Killed were 18-year-old Luther Stoudermire, 16-year-old Kassidy Clark and 14-year-old Jenna Farley.

The driver told sheriff's deputies the four had been at a party and that he had smoked marijuana about an hour before the wreck. He said he was traveling about 75 mph in a 45-mph zone.

He has no criminal history.
