SEATTLE -- Earlier this week, we brought you a life hack that was supposed to solve the messy problem of peeling a hard-boiled egg.

This morning, Kaci Aitchinson tried out the hack live on the air. And... it didn't go as well as planned. In fact, the whole studio now reeks of eggs.

Not to be deterred, Kaci tried again, this time with better results. While it still wasn't quite as spectacular as shown in the video, a small amount of water in a smaller cup seems to do the trick.
