CAPTURED: Accused armed robber Joshua Meadows-Mittenen arrested in Auburn area

CAPTURED: March 9, 2017

Joshua Meadows-Mittenen was arrested yesterday in Auburn after more than two years on the run.

UPDATE February 13, 2015 --
Seattle police have filed a new charge against Joshua Meadows-Mittenen for a home burglary.

WANTED IN SEATTLE February 6, 2015 --
Seattle police say Joshua Meadows-Mittenen is ‘armed and dangerous,’ racking-up victims – and needs to be stopped.

He was already wanted for burglary and eluding police. In fact, he was featured on Washington’s Most Wanted last month but is still on the loose -- and now detectives say he’s a suspect in a brutal armed robbery.

Take a look at the video. You'll see the victim come into a 7-Eleven store on Roosevelt Way NE in Seattle to buy something. He's followed in by a guy in an orange sweatshirt and then Meadows-Mittenen in the black North Face jacket, and eventually a 3rd suspect.

"They approach him and one of the suspects says, ‘Hey man, I know you,’ says Ret. Det. Myrle Carner with Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound. “They have a small conversation and he says, ‘Hey, you want to come join us, we're going to go smoke a blunt.’"

The victim thinks everything's cool and leaves with them. They take a drive and when they stop detectives say, Meadows-Mittenen and the two other guys all pull guns on the suspect, pistol whip him, rob him and leave him almost unconscious.

The only suspect police are still trying to find is Meadows-Mittenen. Detectives say he’s connected to several recent burglaries in north Seattle and Queen Anne, as well as a New Year`s Eve heist in Magnolia.

Carner says, "This guy's going to present a real danger not only to anybody around in the area, but to the police and to any victim he approaches from this point on."
