Woman accused of shoplifting $19,000 from Portland retailers

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police and prosecutors says 43-year-old Ericka Marchelle Smith is a prolific shoplifter who has stolen more than $19,000 in more than two-dozen grab-and-go thefts from Portland retailers.

She was arraigned Tuesday in Multnomah County Circuit Court on charges of robbery, theft, failure to appear in court and possession of cocaine.

KOIN-TV reports  she's due back in court next Wednesday.
