Media Day Madness: Fans turn out to cheer Seahawks players

PHOENIX -- Media Day has become part of the Super Bowl experience -- and up in the stands Tuesday were diehard 12s enjoying every minute of it.

"How great is it to be out here and see all these 12s," Hawks safety Kam Chancellor said from his Media Day riser. "It's definitely amazing, but I like seeing that right there."

'That right there' was Marshawn Lynch on the big screen 'talking' to reporters on Media Day -- and bringing the 12s in the stands to their feet.

"The best part about it is just Marshawn saying he didn't want to get fined and then he kind of left, but, hey, that's Beast Mode," said Seahawks fan Carsten Bocchi.

"This is just an unbelievable experience ... everyone needs to do this in their lifetime," said Crystal Protzman of Federal Way.

Jason Rose, who grew up on Whidbey Island, took his kids out of school so they could attend Media Day.

"It's going to be a once-in-a-lifetime -- maybe," said Rose. "You never know."

Dustin Peterson of Spokane said, "It's just unreal. Seeing all these fans, all these 12th men, it's awesome."

Becky O'Connor of the Tri-Cities said, "I'm just so happy to be here ... I'm crying right now, sorry."

"Where the 12s at?" Chancellor yelled, prompting a loud 'Seahawks' scream from the stands.

"Love the 12th man, baby," Chancellor said, smiling.

Deron Woods, a Renton native, said, "We got Russell Wilson, that incredible game we had two weeks ago. Maybe a three-peat. Gotta win this one first."

But until then, this ticket to Media Day delivered some Seahawks memories these 12s will carry for years to come.
