FAYETTEVILLE, Ar -- Vet clinic employees worked hard to save a male cat that had been shot through the head with an arrow, KFSM reports. Now, the cat is expected to make a miraculous recovery.

According to KFSM, the injured cat came in around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. The TV station reports that the cat's owners were out of town, and it was taken care of by a neighbor. The cat was found wounded early in the morning with an arrow through its head, and he was taken to a local animal hospital.

By 10:10 a.m., the cat was out of surgery at the Animal Service Program and recovering. Vets told KFSM that most of the damage is to the cat's sinus passages, which the arrow passed through.

"I can't believe he's still alive," Anthony Rankin, the  manager of the Animal Serives Program of Fayetteville said.

KFSM reported police are looking for the person who shot the cat. Having the arrow may actually help find the assailant, police said.
