A pig thief? Detectives recover stolen oink'ers in Snohomish County

EVERETT -- The Snohomish County sheriff's detectives have recovered two stolen pigs and reunited them with their owner in Arlington, the sheriff's office said Tuesday.

Last November, an Arlington woman reported a chainsaw and her two Hampshire pigs, a boar and a runt, stolen from her property, the office said.

A detective located the suspect, who had an outstanding felony warrant, and took the 40-year-old man into custody and booked into jail. After questioning and further investigation, the detective was eventually able to locate the stolen pigs.

And with the help of Animal Control, the pigs were returned to their owner.

First-degree theft of livestock -- a felony -- was added to the inmate's list of charges, the sheriff's office said.
