Police arrest drive-by shooting suspect days later when called to fight scene

SEATTLE -- Police arrested 20-year-old man wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting last month in Seattle's Brighton neighborhood.

According to Seattle police, the victims had just pulled into their driveway shortly after noon on December 27th when a car drove by and started shooting. The car was hit several times, but nobody was hurt.

Officers collected shell casings and other evidence from the scene -- and identified a possible suspect.

On January 2nd, police were called to a fight at Rainier Avenue South and South Genesee Street. Officers recognized the suspect from the drive-by shooting, interviewed him, and booked him into King County Jail for investigation of drive-by shooting.

Police impounded the suspect's car which is believed to be the car used in the drive-by shooting.
