Spokane police implementing body camera policy

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Although a four-month test of body cameras by the Spokane police department officially ends this week, officers may continue wearing them.

Over the next several months, police will draft a policy for how the cameras will be used and how video could be released to the public.

The Spokesman-Review reports the goal is to outfit all officers with cameras by the end of 2015.
