PIERCE COUNTY — Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed an armed homicide suspect who allegedly shot at officers while they arrived on scene to investigate a killing in Tacoma.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to reports of a shooting early Wednesday morning at the Woodmark Apartments in the 2400 block of 96th Street South. Deputies found a recently deceased body at the apartments, a man in his 20s, in what appeared to be a drug deal gone bad, deputies told Q13 FOX News.

Information provided by witnesses said the suspect in the shooting was at the Drake Apartments a few blocks away. There, the suspect fired at officers in a hallway as they arrived to question him. Deputies returned fire, killing the suspect.

No officers were hurt in the shooting, deputies said.

The suspect who fired at officers was a known white supremacist, deputies said.

Deputies are still investigating both scenes. The Pierce County Medical Examiner will release the names of both deceased.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.

The poor victim did not deserve to die at the hands of the cops. Print up those T Shirts and start the riots. Oh wait, he was white? Oh never mind then. No outrage whatsoever – I’m sure he deserved it.

Actually the guy was black so I don’t know how he was a white supremacist. Crazy how the media misinforms people and comments like yours divides people

Says “Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed an armed homicide suspect who allegedly shot at officers.” Very different situations. learn to read before you think you’ve come up with a clever comment. nice try though

I am thankful no one but the criminal paid their deed, the victim of the deal gone bad probably got what he deserved too, dealers don’t usually kill their customers its bad for business. Unless the guy was ripping him off some how. Obviously this guy wasn’t too smart witnesses could place him at the location cops found him and he choose unwisely to engage in a gun battle where he was out numbered and out gunned. I am glad it only took a little gun powder and lead to invoke justice in this situation, lot less burden on us tax payers.

Another local rag has this as the title: “Pierce Deputies kill white supremacist” The media should be held responsible for fomenting the racial unrest and irrational completely unfounded beliefs it’s based upon. The police show up when called or when they notice something. If anyone pulls a gun, appears to be pulling a gun, charges at officers or otherwise resists arrest, they are almost certain to be shot. I’m just an average citizen and I’ve never been arrested but I still understand that.
