Truck used in brazen ATM burglary found; police still looking for suspects

NORMANDY PARK -- A Dodge Ram used to smash into a store and take off with an ATM in a brazen burglary this morning has been located, police said, but the suspects were no where to be found.

Normandy Park police said the burglary happened just before 2:30 a.m. at the Normandy Park Market in the 19800 block of 1st Ave S.

Police said surveillance video showed a new black Dodge Ram pickup drive through the doors at the market.

The Dodge was recovered later Monday in the 21600 block of 11th Avenue South in Des Moines. The ATM was not located, but police have impounded the Ram and are processing it for evidence.

Now, police are looking for another vehicle and possibly two suspects.

The surveillance footage shows a silver/white sedan of some kind parked near the market at about the same time.

Police said they didn’t have a good description of the burglars only that one was likely a man wearing a black hoodie and gloves.
