SEATAC — Prosecutors have charged Seattle City Councilmember Kshama Sawant with disorderly conduct, according to SeaTac City Attorney Mary Mirante Bartolo.

Police arrested Sawant last month during a minimum wage protest at Alaska Airlines headquarters.

She and three others were charged for blocking the road near Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Sawant says it was worth it to fight for the workers. She released the following statement on Wednesday:

“Why do workers face charges when they peacefully campaign for their rights, while corporate criminals go free? Our justice system is broken. As long as their movement continues, I will stand with workers in Sea-Tac.”

She faces a maximum of 90 days in jail or a $1,000 fine.

You have to make waves from nothing and jump on the serf board if you want to be a pronounced democrat true to the bandwagon of endless bullshit.

  • Hahahahahaha!!

Hope this dumb lady gets tossed from the Council as well. She is supposed to set an example for others. She should know, she has the right to assemble, but not the right to break the law in doing so.

She could also be deported, since she took an oath upon swearing for citizenship that she would obey our laws. We generously allowed her into our country, and this is how the Third World ingrate thanks us.

Ingrate is a word. If you’re going to go around crucifying people for minor mistakes rather than dissect the intention of the text you should at least get a remedial education in the language you seek to defend.

The district who elected this clown to council should start recall proceedings immediately. She can’t just be removed by the council, it requires a recall election.

Well let’s see. You can stay on the sidewalk and obey traffic laws and your protest is legal and no one should get arrested. But if you are blocking traffic that means you’re in the street and your protest is now illegal, and you can get arrested. That answers this question: “Why do workers face charges when they peacefully campaign for their rights”

The democrats should care about illegal aliens driving down wages and standards of living, but no, they like their illegal votes and wealth re-distribution from us to the the third world.
