Police: Icy windows, failing to look for pedestrians contributed to deadly crash

BELLEVUE -- An 18-year-old man who allegedly hit and killed a woman in her 70s early Monday morning did not properly defrost his windows, perhaps contributing to the deadly crash, police said.

"Icy car windows that were not defrosted and failing to look right for pedestrians were factors," in the crash, police said.

Police said the woman was hit near 150th Ave SE and SE 38th Street around 6:00a.m.

The driver cooperated with police at the scene of the crash. It is not yet known if he will be charged with a crime.
