Caregiver arrested after sexual abuse of 83-year-old woman allegedly caught on 'nanny cam'

AUBURN, Wash. -- Police arrested a man at an adult care facility Thursday for allegedly sexually abusing a woman. They said the abuse was caught on video using a 'nanny cam' after the resident's family suspected something was wrong at Auburn Adult Care.

Auburn police responded to the adult home in the 2700 block of Forest Ridge Drive Southeast just after 7:00 p.m.

Investigators said the victim was an 83-year-old woman who lived at the facility.

The victim and all 11 other elderly residents were removed from the facility and transported by ambulances to area hospitals until arrangements can be made for their care, police said.

The adult caregiver was booked into the SCORE jail facility in Des Moines on investigation of Sexual Assault, police said.
