Services set for Marysville school shooting victim Andrew Fryberg

MARYSVILLE -- Services have been set for Andrew Fryberg, 14, who died in the hospital last Friday from his injuries in the Oct. 24 Marysville-Pilchuck High School shooting.

Andrew was the fifth person to die from that shooting, including the student shooter.

"Andrew was known for his one-of-a-kind personality," Andrew's family wrote in his obituary. "He was always smiling, very outgoing, being over protective and caring, being an amazing friend, uncle, brother, and son.

"Andrew was a natural born athlete and succeeded at basically everything he tried to do. He loved to play football, wrestling, riding quads, hanging out with friends, family dinners, watching his nieces and nephews and spending time out on the water. He also loved to take car rides with his sister Leila, as well as random road trips with her to Yakama just to get Miners.

"Andrew will be forever missed but never forgotten."

The obituary said visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville with an InterFaith service to follow at 6 p.m. at the Tulalip Gym.

Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Tulalip Gym, with burial to follow at Mission Beach Cemetery.
