Car smashes into Phinney Ridge Starbucks; driver nowhere to be found (PHOTOS)

SEATTLE -- A popular Phinney Ridge Starbucks was closed early Monday morning for latte, cappuccino and any other orders after a truck smashed through the storefront overnight.

Now, police are looking for the truck's driver.

Firefighters were called to a report of a truck into a building sometime before 3 a.m. in the 300 block of North 67th Street in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle.

Emergency crews discovered a newer model black pickup broke a guardrail and smashed into a popular Starbucks store adjacent to Red Mill Burgers. The driver of the truck was nowhere to be found, firefighters said, and it appeared they left the scene.

No injuries were reported in the crash, but the Starbucks was heavily damaged.

The manager of the Phinney Ridge store said the same thing happened at the location three months ago. Occupants will not be able enter the building until structural engineers deem it safe.

Police are investigating the crash.
