Police: Woman struck by car near Northgate suffers life-threatening injuries

SEATTLE -- A 42-year-old woman is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car Monday morning near the Northgate neighborhood.

According to the Seattle Police Department, officers received calls of a collision between a car and a person just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Roosevelt Way Northeast and Northeast 108th Street.

Seattle firefighters responded to the scene and transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center.

The driver of the vehicle was uninjured. The driver is cooperating with investigators, police said.

Traffic collision detectives are now investigating.
