Police arrest 4 teens for attempted robbery, find a surprise inside backpack of 'victim'

SEATTLE -- Police arrested four people for attempted robbery Saturday afternoon in downtown Seattle, but officers got a surprise when they looked inside the "victim's" backpack.

An officer wearing plain clothes spotted a group of four young men assaulting a man -- kicking and punching him. According to police, the victim escaped, but the group chased after him and grabbed his backpack.

Police said the "victim" ran off without collecting his property. When officers peeked inside to find something to identify the property, they found a "large quantity" of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Officers booked the four juveniles into the King County Youth Service Center for investigation of robbery.
