Police: Bloody stab victim knocked on stranger's door, asked for help

WHITE CENTER -- Sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man in White Center, before the the victim managed to get away, run to a nearby home and asked for help.

According to King County sheriff's deputies, a man was stabbed early Friday morning near the 10800 block of 1st Avenue SW in White Center. After the stabbing, the injured man with a bloody shirt knocked on a nearby resident's door and asked for help. The resident called police.

Police and emergency crews called to the scene transported the stabbing victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was unknown at 7:30 a.m.

The stabbing appeared to stem from a domestic fight, police said, and was not random. Police are now looking for the suspect, who is believed to be driving a 1996 Ford Probe with WA License Plate #APA0835.

Anyone with information on the stabbing or the suspect's vehicle is encouraged to call 911.
