At least 2 hospitalized as 3-car crash snarls traffic on I-90

PRESTON -- Police are investigating a three-car injury crash in Preston, Wash., that has caused major backups on Interstate 90.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a serious, head-on collision blocked some lanes of traffic around 1 p.m. on I-90.  The two left lanes of westbound I-90 were blocked, troopers said, causing a two-mile backup.

At least two people were transported to a hospital, officials said.

The two lanes were expected to be blocked until at least 3:30 p.m.

This is the second major accident in Preston in less than a month, officials said.
